As you can see from the galleries on this site, I'm primarily a people photographer and as such am available to shoot weddings, model portfolios, fashion, parties, babies, corporate events, bat mitzvahs, portraits - pretty much anything with people. Or animals. Standard Business Portraits: If all you need is a good clean, well-lit business head shot, with a plain or canvas background, I can do one in my studio for $175. If you want me to come to you, it's $250.00. If you've got a few people that need doing, talk to me about a group discount. Professional Business Portraits: For Real Estate Sales people, Professional Speakers, anyone who needs a slightly higher profile and a more magazine-style custom shot. The cost for this type of portrait is $245.00. On location, $325. Events: I love shooting openings, receptions, group portraits, and pr events. My minimum charge to attend an event is $425.00. This covers a couple of hours of my time and as many digital shots as are needed. I'll also post the edited shots on my site for your viewing pleasure. Actor / Model Portrait Shoots: I spend a long time on actor/portfolio shoots, up to two hours for actors, and up to 6 hours for models. Much of this time is spent getting to know my subjects and for them to relax and let their guard down so I can capture their true selves, at least as I see them. I also ask my subjects to get a full week's worth of good sleep and drink plenty of water before the shoot so their eyes and skin are as clear as possible. I'd also prefer them not to go on crash diets before the shoot - their bodies don't like it and it shows. During the shoot, I ask my models *not* to pose, that always looks fake. It's better for them to do their own thing, to just be themselves. Because of this, my headshot sessions start at $245.00 and my modelling portfolio sessions start at $395.00 - not cheap, but the results speak for themselves. Weddings: I don't rush wedding photography. I don't count the hours and I don't skimp on film. I prefer to be paid well and spend whatever time is needed to make a fantastic document of the events. I like to be around for the rehearsal/dinner the day before so I can get to know who the key players are (family and close friends) and for them to know me. Weddings are emotionally-charged, chaotic events and don't suit themselves to static, posed shots, although I'll do those too if you want. The best way to catch the action is to constantly move around and to shoot a *lot* of film, preferably when your subjects don't realise you're there. My style has been variously described as candid, photojournalistic, artistic, documentary, fashion oriented and more - but whatever it is, people seem to like it. As for the technical stuff, I bring multiple bodies, a bunch of fast lenses and shoot a huge number of shots. For weddings I shoot formals on Kodak Portra 160NC and 400NC color print film, and everything else on high end digital. Although I prefer available light, I also bring my own lighting. I also use an assistant, but only for the grunt work - carrying stuff, reloading film backs and handing me lenses. More info - prices etc Family & Children's Portraits: My sitting fee for
